Jean Poe dies after brief illness

Jean Poe, elder and Presbyterian leader in the Synod of the Sun, died Saturday after a brief illness.

Service of Witness to the Resurrection will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, at First Presbyterian Church of Lake Charles, LA. A reception in Fellowship Hall will follow.

Jean Poe was very active in the life of her congregation, the Presbytery of South Louisiana, Synod of the Sun, the Louisiana Interchurch Conference, and numerous community organizations. Her ministry of service included Presbyterian Pan American School and Austin College.End of story
