DECATUR, Ga. — Church historian Catherine G. González will lead a course on Western Spirituality, April 26-May 1, 2009, at Columbia Theological Seminary. González, who retired from the seminary's faculty in 2002, is the author of “Leo and Gregory: Shapers of the Church,” and co-author with her husband Justo González, of “The Liberating Church.”
Participants will study practices at the center of faith and the renewal of Christian life through the centuries. After examination of the early period, focus will be on the Protestant and Roman Catholic churches.
This is a foundational course in Columbia's Certificate in Spiritual Formation program. Program fee is $350 ($250 for certificate program graduates) and does not include meals or lodging.
