In order to ensure the safety of students, Presbyterian Pan American School on Wednesday enacted procedural responses to the warning of a possible flu pandemic which includes closing the campus to all visitors from Mexico, including parents, and ending the semester early.
School President James Matthews said in an email for Presbyterians across the synod, that parents would be notified and reassured that the campus in Kingsville, Texas, is the safest place for their children right now. After exams are given next week, students from Mexico will be taken to the border where parents can meet them or allow public transportation to their homes.
n the meantime, students will work, worship, and study as usual, whether graduating or going home for summer vacation. Matthews said that the board of trustees and administration ask for prayers and understanding during this challenging situation.
